The experience
What to expect
The hammam is the old Moroccan bathhouse, and it has nothing to do with scented candles. You sit in hot steam until your pores open, then an attendant scrubs your whole body with black soap and a rough kessa glove. It is brisk, it is thorough, and you come out with skin you did not know you had.
After the scrub you rinse off and move to the massage table, where argan oil is worked in properly. Two hours covers the lot. Most people book it halfway through a holiday, once the sun and the salt have started to take their toll.
We collect you from your hotel in Agadir, Taghazout or Tamraght and bring you back afterwards, so you are not hunting for a taxi with wet hair.
