The experience
About this trip
Legzira is worth the drive on its own, but the day trip turns around at four in the afternoon. Staying the night means you get the arches in daylight and then go on past Guelmim, the old gateway to the Sahara, to a bivouac in the sand.
Day one runs south through Tiznit and Mirleft, arriving at Legzira around eleven. Lunch is above the beach with the water in front of you, and then the afternoon is yours until half past three: swim, walk under the arches if the tide allows, or sit.
At half past four you reach the bivouac. There is the sunset, then dinner and a show, and you sleep in a tent, under the stars, or in the hostel if you would rather have a roof. Day two goes out at half past eight to see prehistoric carvings cut into the rock, then the oasis at Tighmert for lunch, and home by six.

The drive north, arriving in Agadir around 18:00.

How long is the drive?
Legzira is a good way south of Agadir, so day one involves several hours on the road, broken by the stops.
