About this trip
The goats are the reason most people book this, and what they do is real. In the argan forest inland from Agadir the local herds climb into the branches to reach the fruit, and they have been doing it for as long as anyone can remember. The trees are low and thorny, so the animals end up close enough to watch properly.
A guide walks you through how argan oil is made, from the fruit the goats leave behind to the press, and there is time with the newborn goats kept near the road. Breakfast follows: bread, olive oil, amlou and mint tea, served the way it is eaten at home.
The morning then moves on to Crocoparc, where more than three hundred Nile crocodiles live in planted enclosures with raised walkways over the water. Entry is paid in advance, so you go straight in and wander the five gardens and the nursery at your own pace. We pick you up and bring you back from Agadir, Taghazout or Tamraght.
