The experience

About this trip

We pick you up in Taghazout earlier than the Agadir hotels, since the souk and the village both lie inland. From there the day is the same one.

You shop together for what is in season, then drive out to a village at the foot of the High Atlas. In the family house there is the Berber breakfast of mint tea, bread, honey, argan oil and amlou, and then the cooking: wood for the oven, vegetables peeled, tagines built, bread baked.

While it cooks you see the village, including the old medersa with its classrooms and dormitory. Lunch is what you helped make, eaten at the family table. There is time afterwards to walk before the drive back to the coast.
