About this trip
Inoumar lies south-east of Agadir, and Taghazout lies north of it, so we pick you up earlier and the day runs about an hour longer than it does from the city.
The granary is the reason to go. It is a citadel of 295 storehouses built above the village, the largest fortified granary in Morocco, where families once kept grain and valuables under one defended roof. The keeper meets us, there is tea, and then a guided walk through the storehouses.
Before that we walk the old village and its underground cisterns for rainwater, and afterwards we eat lunch with a family in a neighbouring village. It is a quiet corner of the Anti-Atlas and it stays quiet.

We collect you and drive south-east into the Anti-Atlas.

On foot, up to the citadel granary above the village.

Welcome tea with the keeper, then a guided tour of the 295 storehouses.

On to a neighbouring village for lunch with a local family.

The drive back, arriving in Agadir around 17:00.
