About this trip
You cannot see much of Agadir from sea level, and from Taghazout you cannot see it at all. The cable car fixes that in six minutes. It runs from a base station in the city up to the top of the hill, 236 metres above the water, and the view on the way covers the marina, the port and the full sweep of the beach.
The cabin puts you down beside Agadir Oufella, the ruins of the old Kasbah. Parts of it go back to the 16th century and the ground up there is rough in places, so take your time. You get around an hour before the descent, which is plenty for photos in every direction. If you can, book an evening slot: that is when the city below switches its lights on.
The ticket covers both the uphill and downhill rides, so you pay nothing at the gate. Pickup and drop-off from Taghazout, Tamraght and Agadir hotels are part of the deal too.

10:00 – Pickup in the village
We meet you at your hotel or guesthouse in Taghazout or Agadir.
10:20 – The base station
You reach the Agadir cable car station and collect your tickets, which are already paid.
10:40 – Going up
Six minutes and 236 metres, with the marina and the Atlantic shrinking beneath the cabin.
10:50 – At the Kasbah
You step out beside the Agadir Oufella ruins, the oldest part of the city still standing.
11:15 – The view
Ten kilometres of beach curving away on one side, the Atlas Mountains on the other.
11:30 – Going down
Back in the cabin for the descent, watching the harbour come back up to meet you.
11:40 – Transfer back
Your driver meets you at the base station for the return leg.
12:00 – Drop-off
Back at your accommodation in Taghazout or Agadir.
